Event Schedule

What is Aftergame?

Aftergame is the app we're using to run the event schedule. It's a purpose-built social tabletop gaming app that lets attendees browse the full schedule of games and events, claim seats at tables, check in on the day, and connect with other players. The developer team are gamers, based in New Zealand, so you can be sure that you're supporting indie software development that has our privacy and hobby as their focus.

The app also has features to help you manage your game collection, track your plays, organise your own games with friends and even find games and events near you.

Is Aftergame free?

Yes. Creating an account and using it to attend events, claim seats, browse the schedule, and check in doesn't cost anything. There's an optional Aftergame+ subscription with extra features, but you don't need it to take part in this event.

Do I need to have an Aftergame account to attend the convention?

No, but it will make the whole experience much more enjoyable. We encourage everyone to use this wonderful service, as you'll be the first to see the games on offer when the event goes live and you'll be able to claim your seat right away. However, if you don't want to set up a free account you can still see what's on by visiting the convention website at https://relicsandrenegades.com

Contact one of the organisers to register your interest or if you're feeling lucky, just show up on the day and see what games are on offer.

Can I invite my friends?

Not directly, but you can share the event link. Just tap the share icon at the top right of the main event screen. Tap the URL or the copy icon to get a sharable link that you can send through your preferred messaging app, or tap the QR icon to get a QR code on your screen that you can show to a friend to scan.

How do I get my tickets?

From the event page, tap Get tickets and choose what you need. Most events offer entry tickets (day or weekend) as well as tickets for smaller sessions like tournaments, panels, or quizzes. Once you've got your tickets, the button on the event page will change to Going.

You can also buy tickets for friends and send them directly through Aftergame, and the ticket will be linked to their account.

How do I check in on the day?

Bring up your check-in details in the app and a volunteer will scan you into the event.

How do I claim my seat at a game table?

Open the event's Full schedule. This includes official games run by the hosts, playtests or demos from designers and publishers, and games that other attendees have planned themselves. Scroll through, find something with space, and claim a seat. Depending on the event's settings, you may also be able to bring guests or invite friends into the same game.

If you've got two things you like the look of, don't worry about double-booking yourself; Aftergame has clash protection and will warn you about any scheduling conflicts. You can also filter the schedule to help narrow down what you're looking for.

Where can I see the games I've claimed a seat in?

Check My schedule. It's laid out the same way as the full schedule but only shows the games and events you've personally claimed a seat in, plus anything the hosts have added to everyone's schedule. You can also add games and events to your own calendar from here.
